Ingredients

  • 1 cup golden syrup
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • cup caster sugar
  • 3 golden eggs
  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 5 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat an oven at 450 degrees F
  • Take a bowl and add the golden syrup, lemon zest, lemon juice, breadcrumbs. Stir them to combine all the ingredients together until well combined
  • Then spread this mixture in the baking dish
  • Take a bowl egg the eggs, butter, sugar. Let then beat until they are fluffy then stir them in the milk and flour and then dollop over the syrup
  • Transfer them to the baking oven and then let them bake for about 40 minutes until it turns into golden brown and crispy
  • Then serve with lots of custard, cream, ice cream and extra dripple of syrup
  • Then serve them and enjoy
